Introduction to JEE Mains

JEE Mains is an entry pathway through which aspiring engineers access admission to the most esteemed engineering institutions of India. Such entry pathways include IITs, NITs, and many centrally funded technical institutes. The National Testing Agency, NTA, is responsible for conducting JEE Mains. Student’s performance is assessed by JEE Mains based on the following subjects: physics, chemistry, and mathematics. It is one of the highly competitive exams; there is a need for sound concepts, excellent analytical skills, and appropriate strategic problem-solving skills from the candidate.

The JEE Mains exam pattern is systemic. It includes multiple choice-based question patterns, followed by numerical value-based ones, and even an optional section for B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch/B.Planning courses. An aspirant must be updated regarding the exam pattern, application process, and how he can prepare efficiently to outshine in this examination.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is India’s largest medical entrance exam. It is mandatory for students seeking admission into MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Veterinary, Nursing, and other medical courses across government and private colleges. Every year nearly 23 lakh+ aspirants appear, making it one of the toughest and most competitive exams in India.

For students who are preparing at different stages—Class 11, Class 12, and students who have completed their 12th grade—a focused approach is necessary. Different stages require different focus areas, resources, and strategies for maximum success.

JEE Mains Preparation for 12th Pass

After clearing class 12, the students follow a very different type of approach. Having given full attention to only JEE Mains preparation, which is often said about 12th pass students, are provided sufficient time to reiterate upon the weak points, elaborate practice, and crystallise the strategy for the exam.

  1. Past performance and weaknesses analysis
     • Review Previous Scores: You must first scrutinise how you performed from previous tests to know if there is a need to improve. Concentrate on the areas with lower scores, such as specific subjects and topics, and continue to improve there.
     • Study Materials: You must be pretty advanced, so the study materials must be of pretty advanced level, with utmost emphasis on advanced IIT books and model papers. Some of the best JEE Mains books and old JEE exam model papers will do it.
  2. Intensive practice with mock tests and model papers
     • Mock Test Series: Participating in a tough JEE Mains mock test series will give the much-needed exam temperament. A well-planned series of mock tests helps in building speed and accuracy, which are the two most crucial elements in the JEE Mains.
     • High-Weightage Topics: Spend quality time on high-weightage topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. You can practice the topics through a variety of model papers so that you understand the wide range of question formats.
  3. Right Coaching Institute:
     • Join the Specialised Courses: Joining the best coaching for JEE in Delhi or the best institute for JEE preparation with targeted courses makes all the difference. Courses are especially provided for students who attempt the JEE after 12th with high-impact techniques aimed at maximising scores.
     • Online Advanced Course: If you are seeking online preparation, the best coaching for IIT JEE has modules for mock tests and other advanced course material that bases itself on what you have.
  4. IIT Courses after 12th
